After spending most of my life on lovely Cape Cod, I’ve chosen to spread my wings and explore the great beyond! I am now living in New Hampshire, teaching Pre-K - 3rd grade music in Farmington. I am happy to announce that I am taking new students of ANY age and experience levels from the Rochester/Farmington area of New Hampshire. Saxophone of any skill level, or other instruments at a beginner skill level. I am of course still accepting online students who live anywhere!
…or jazz, or classical music! If home isolation has you feeling a little trapped, and you’re looking for a break from Netflix or that can of Pringles (yeah, I can see you), it’s time to turn to music.
It’s no secret that music helps us celebrate the good times in life, and sustains us in the bad times. Even the really bad times, like pandemics, have inspired composers throughout history. Put simply, there’s power in song.
If you’ve got a saxophone gathering dust in the back of the closet, you’ve got an opportunity. Use some of your coronavirus down-time as an opportunity for growth and self-improvement, or at the very least, an opportunity to take your face mask off.
In the past two months, my fellow music teachers and I have been learning a new skill: virtual instruction. And let’s face it: it’s not ideal. But you’d be surprised how well a Skype or Zoom lesson can work, whether you’re a brand new student or a sax enthusiast from decades ago. I’m offering virtual sax lessons during the virus emergency at a $5 discount over my usual rates. As always, the first lesson is free for new students.
So drop me a line and let’s get playing!
